What Sets Us Apart

All About Us

At Bright Seeds Counseling, we believe that even the smallest seed—a kind word, a safe space, a playful breakthrough—can grow into lasting transformation. Every interaction is an opportunity to plant hope and nurture growth. Rooted in compassion and guided by hope, we create a supportive and welcoming environment where children, teens, and adults can safely explore their emotions, build resilience, and discover healthy ways to navigate life’s challenges.

Our Approach
We use evidence-based and creative, developmentally appropriate techniques to help clients strengthen coping skills, foster self-awareness, and grow into the fullness of their potential.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

    • CBT is a goal-oriented, evidence-based approach that helps individuals understand the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Clients learn practical tools to manage stress, overcome challenges, and build healthier habits, fostering lasting emotional and behavioral growth.

  • Play Therapy

    • At Bright Seeds Counseling, we provide children, teens, and adults with a safe, structured space to process emotions, work through trauma, and navigate life transitions using the language of play. This evidence-informed approach fosters emotional expression, builds coping skills, and promotes resilience, supporting growth and healing across all developmental stages.

  • Faith-Informed Counseling

    • For those who desire it, we integrate spiritual values into the counseling process, honoring each client’s personal beliefs. Rooted in grace, hope, and biblical truth, this approach offers encouragement, perspective, and deeper healing for the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Emotional Wellness for Every Stage

Whether it's sudden loss, a traumatic experience, or the quiet heaviness of anxiety, we offer compassionate support through life's hardest moments. Therapy helps clients understand their feelings, find their voice, and move forward with confidence and strength at their own pace.

Ashley, counselor at Bright Seeds Counseling

Meet Ashley

Hi, I’m Ashley – a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and Play Therapist in Training, Supervised by Alyssa Cedillo, M.A., LPC-S, RPT-S, IP-CST. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. Mary’s University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas State University.

I believe healing begins in safe, supportive spaces where emotions can be seen, named, and understood. Using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach, I explore the connections between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors while fostering hope, strength, and possibility. I work with each individual to build on their existing strengths, helping them grow in confidence, resilience, and emotional awareness.

My experience spans early childhood through young adulthood. I began as a school-based counselor for children ages 3–13, supporting students through trauma, grief, family transitions, bullying, and everyday school stress, helping them develop coping skills they could carry into all areas of life. I also spent six years as a college and career counselor, guiding teens and young adults in career exploration, college admissions, workforce readiness, and personal growth. These experiences shape my work today—whether in the playroom with a child, with a teen preparing for the future, or supporting adults navigating life’s challenges, my goal is to help every client feel seen, empowered, and supported as they build resilience and reach their fullest potential.
